Who is a good candidate?

People must have well-conditioned skin prior to treating with NeoGen™ PSR. The better the health prior to treatment, the better the results. Treating with an IPL prior can increase overall results. There are many areas besides the face that can be treated with the NeoGen™ PSR. The face, neck, chest, hands, Cesarean scars, breast implant scars, acne scars as well as many other areas can be treated with NeoGen™ PSR. 

Some skin types and tones may not be suited to the treatment as it could result in permanent hyperpigmentation or scarring. A consultation will determine whether Halo PLASMA Lift (NeoGen PSR) is right for you but works well for most skin types.

What are the side effects or downtime?

Depending on the depth of the treatment, and how well the individual’s skin is previously conditioned, the downtime can vary. Typically, the client will experience 7-14 days of social downtime. People can expect to peel significantly for several days after the treatment. 

The most common side effects of Halo PLASMA Lift (NeoGen PSR) treatment are peeling, redness, swelling, and temporary hyperpigmentation. These are all normal stages of the healing process after treatment. Swelling can be treated with ice packs and cold compresses. Plasma skin tightening is safe and non-invasive. The treatment results in only minor side effects which should last no more than 10-14 days. Be sure to follow aftercare instructions carefully and avoid sun exposure as your skin heals from Halo PLASMA Lift (NeoGen PSR).

What Is Activated Fat Transfer?

During this procedure, Blue Halo’s resident MD will use liposuction to remove fat from one area before processing and purifying it. Then, very thin needles will be used to inject the purified fat into targeted areas to add fullness. One of the major benefits of using one’s own fat for the fat injection is that it eliminates the risk of reaction, as these tissues are recognizable to the body and can be reintegrated without adverse effects. In order to promote healing, enhance the survival of the fat grafting, and provide results that last far longer, an activated fat transfer will be performed. This adds platelet-rich plasma (PRP) to the process of basic fat transfer. Generally, fat will be removed from the buttocks, the thighs, or the midsection, all of which are ideal sources because these areas often have unwanted accumulations of fat. Following a fat transfer procedure, there can be significant swelling and bruising for the first few days. Many patients often choose to take a week or more to return to the public eye. Noticeable improvements begin to show 7 to 10 days after the fat transfer. Depending on the area being treated, most patients are able to resume their regular routine after three weeks.

Any potential scarring will happen during the liposuction phase, where fat is harvested from the donor site. Liposuction incisions are small, however, so scars are also small and will be placed in hidden areas whenever possible. Most liposuction scars fade over time to become barely visible.

Injection sites should look softer and fuller, providing a refreshed and rejuvenated appearance and often even resulting in improved skin texture. The survival of the fat and longevity of the results depends on factors such as the surgeon’s techniques, how fat has been harvested and purified, the injection method, and the location of the injection. When done successfully, however, a new blood supply is established between the body and the injected fat to deliver nourishment critical to its survival. In such cases, results are often permanent. Even so, there may be a percentage of fat that does not take, sometimes necessitating additional procedures.
